How can it be odd if it is obviously happening to people on a fairy consistent basis? Sounds like a Sonos issue that should be addressed. I have seen this exact issue on multiple boards and the answer is always that it’s “odd”. I have not changed anything and they were working fine a couple weeks ago. It’s worth noting that this isn’t the only issue AirPlay users are facing. This is in context to the annoyance Sonos speakers users are facing wherein Apple AirPlay is unable to connect with their speakers and just shows an error with the ‘Unable to connect’ message. Though, it’s not always joyful as it sounds as sometimes it can be annoying when AirPlay refuses to connect with the device. Similarly, songs can be played on supported smart speakers and obviously Apple’s own HomePod.
Just tap on the ‘AirPlay’ button while playing media and within seconds the video you want to watch will start playing on the crisp and big display of your TV.
